Hi, I'm Marlo, and I'm so glad you're here! 

I have worn many hats throughout my life: school teacher, reading specialist, ministry coordinator, youth pastor's wife, twin mom and photographer. Throughout each chapter and position, I am always driven by two things: authentic connection in relationships and creativity. In everything I do, I find fulfillment 

in bringing to light what is real and creating a space where others feel seen and cherished.

I was bit by the photography bug as a young child. After giving birth to my twin daughters in 2008, that bite turned into passion. After getting my business off the ground while living in Austin for a season, I returned to my native Houston. 

"When people ask me what I shoot, my answer is “Life.”

Most of us, particularly women, tend to feel a little nervous in front of the lens. The minute a camera gets pulled out, we become super-sensitive about our perceived flaws. Trust me, I get it.

As someone who spent several years wrestling with body image and self-acceptance, the heart behind my work is to create a space where you feel at ease, relaxed in your own skin, and beautiful, despite the disparaging thoughts. 

When I step foot on a job, I am looking for what is real — not too posed or contrived. It is my hope that you'll walk away with sore cheeks from genuinely smiling and a relaxed confidence in your inherent beauty.
